Silverton Development, Inc. is a non-profit development organization with the mission of promoting development in downtown Silverton. Formed in 2001, its membership is composed of business and community leaders from the City of Silverton. Meetings occur bi-monthly on the third Wednesday of the month at noon in the Silverton Municipal Building. SDI completed a corridor study focusing on Montgomery and Plainfield Roads in 2004. The study provides recommendations for downtown redevelopment, including streetscape, infill development and recommended zoning modifications.
