Part Time Code Enforcement Officer - The City of Silverton is currently accepting applications for the position of Part Time Code Enforcement Officer.  Position works under the supervision and direction of the City Manager enforcing the City's property maintenance code, receiving and processing permit applications for review by zoning and building administrators.  Qualified candidates will possess at least two years experience in code enforcement, preferably in property maintenance.  Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. AACE membership encouraged.  Hours estimated at 15-20 per week.  Salary range:  $16-$20/hr DOQ.  Completion and submittal of the City's employment application is required in order to be considered for hire.   Open until filled.  Silverton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Seasonal Laborer - The City of Silverton is currently accepting applications for the position of seasonal laborer. Individuals in the classification will assist the Service Department with road repair and park maintenance.  Individuals must be available to work 40 hours per week plus overtime, possess a reliable means of transportation, and the ability to bend, stoop and lift in excess of 40 pounds.  Completion and submittal of the City's employment application is required in order to be considered for hire. Police Clerk/Dispatcher (Intermittent) - The City of Silverton is currently accepting applications for the position of intermittent police clerk/dispatcher.  Individuals in this classification work on an as needed basis.  Duties include a wide variety of routine and complex clerical, secretarial and administrative work in keeping official records, providing administrative support to the police command staff, and assisting in the standard operating policies and procedures of the police department. The position involves considerable contact with the public; the employee must be able to exercise discretion and independent action in the handling of routine matters and public comment.  Work is performed under the general supervision of police command staff.  Knowledge of computer and electronic data processing and modern office practices required.  Completion and submittal of the City's employment application is required in order to be considered for hire.
