The City Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the city, implements Council action, hires and oversees the staff, prepares and implements the annual operating budget and keeps the elected officials advised of the city's financial viability.

The City Clerk and the Finance Director are appointed by the City Manager. The Clerk acts as a liaison between Council, Boards and Commission, staff, and citizens.  The Clerk serves as the City's records custodian and provides timely, accurate information and resources impartially and neutrally.

The Finance Director maintains the financial records of the City and serves as liaison to the auditors.  The Finance Director also assists the City Manager in the preparation of the tax and appropriations budgets.  Finally, the Finance Director provides full and complete reports to the City Manager regarding the financial status of the City.
